Perkbox is an employee engagement start-up that was launched in 2015 by Saurav Chopra and Chieu Cao. The aim of the business is to help SME’s (small and medium sized enterprises) build and nurture relationships with their workers by offering them perks in return.
Companies pay to use the service and as a result they receive 130 different perks from various companies for their employees. These perks include discounted travel, food and entertainment vouchers and free phone insurance among other incentives.
Saurav Chopra and Chieu Cao’s philosophy comes from the fact that ‘61% of the UK’s workforce is disengaged’. Perkbox is their solution to this problem as ‘engaging your employees boosts productivity and makes your company a more attractive place to work.’ Therefore, this can help companies keep hold of their workers rather than them looking for other jobs, help maintain relationships with workers and attract new potential employees.
Things have looked positive for Perkbox since they received an investment from Zoopler founder Alex Chesterman and had a projected revenue of £15m for 2016. Finally, Chopra and Cao have dreams to branch out in Europe and the US as they hope to ‘bring happiness to one million workplaces across the world by 2021.’
