As we said, being prepared is key. Making sure your content calendar is all set by the start of December, will certainly save time and hassle. Creating content such as graphical or video campaigns ahead of time will save stress. The last thing you want to do is be rushing on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day writing blogs or creating content. Enjoy your hangover without a workload!

As music legend George Michael said, looking back at last Christmas can be heart-breaking, but it also helps you realise your mistakes so you can improve this time around. Look at what you did well in regards to campaigns, content, and posts the year before. It may be worth recycling content that was a major success as well as creating additional content. 

Christmas-Up Your Content


Get into the Christmas spirit by aligning your content with the theme. Everyone likes a colourful Christmas tree, a wonderfully wrapped gift or a snowman. This doesn’t have to be content that is created, this could be content in real-time. Instagram stories have become successful, so why not jump on the wagon? A few selfies around the office and your boss dressed as Santa could definitely boost the interaction.

Depending on the industry you work in, it’s important that your website works at a speedy rate. The Christmas season, particularly for retail brands can get very busy. Make sure your website and hosts are up to the job!

As well as your current campaigns, it could be worth starting a campaign focused mainly on Christmas. It could bring in extra consumers and boost sales greatly. Setting out the strategy for a successful Christmas.

Video has been successful in recent years, and various Christmas ads have been setting the tone for the festive season. According to Oberlo.co.uk, 73% of consumers claim that they have been influenced by a brand's social media presence when making a decision on whether or not to make a purchase. Having an engaging video is bound to bring in even more customers, whilst influencing them.
