Google revamps its “G” logo

Have you noticed a change in Google’s logo?

The Verge reported that Google has updated its “G” logo, with the last update being ten years ago (2015). While the logo looks very similar to its previous edition; featuring four separate colour blocks, the new version sees all four colours blend together seamlessly to create a gradient effect.

Google’s six-letter logo remains the same for the time being. However, Google’s logo change could be a sign of a complete revamp in the future for the search engine specialists. There is a case that Google is shifting towards AI as the new “G” logo lines up with the gradient look they’ve been using in Gemini and some of the AI tools.

Branding plays a key part in an organisation’s identity and this new update could be the beginning of a significant change in Google’s future.
