TikTok: The Social Media Phenomenon

If you’ve been active on social media over the last few months and you’re not familiar with Tik Tok, one question: HOW?!

Tik Tok is a video-sharing social networking service, which is owned by ByteDance. Tik Tok allows users to create short video clips doing voice overs to famous TV series or movie lines, or re-creating short dance sequences to music in the background. Just like it’s counterparts, Tik Tok allows users to build their profile, by gaining views and followers. It can be downloaded via the Apple App store, Google Play and also available on Amazon appstore.

Oh, and it’s free to sign up!

It’s fair to say Tik Tok has been entertaining the masses on various social media channels, which has seen all from the young to the mature taking part. A number of celebrities have been active on Tik Tok, providing entertainment to their followers.

Gordon Ramsay was among the high-profile celebrities that has made a Tik Tok video.

During the current pandemic, social media has been the go-to platform (we guess it always was anyway) and Tik Tok has certainly helped many of us with our dance moves.
