The day has arrived! 

Users who type “www.twitter.com”, will notice a change in the URL – they’ll be directed to “x.com”. Twitter has officially made the change to become X.com on all its systems; as Elon Musk stated in 2023. 

Upon arriving on the new landing page, users are likely to be greeted with a  message that reads: “We are letting you know that we are changing our URL, but your privacy and data protection settings remain the same.”

Since the announcement of a name change from Twitter to X, aspects of the social media giant have changed, such as the logo itself, as well as the colour scheme. 

Although elements of Musk’s transition have been rusty over the last year; this latest move confirms one thing: Twitter is history.
